PROJECT MANAGER - PARDUBICE

SYMBIO's project manager is a bridge between his client and the production. He knows his team members perfectly, is aware of their strengths and weaknesses, and is able to help them take full advantage of their talents. Because of this, the abbreviation PM stands also for "People Manager", and he manages briefs and project deadlines so that everyone else can focus on their jobs.

The ideal candidate will...

  • Manage a team of 8 people on projects with budgets exceeding 1 million CZK.
  • Keep tabs on digital marketing trends and technologies.
  • Know the GTD method.
  • Use any tool for self organization that works for them (OmniFocus, Things, etc.)
  • Be familiar with Basecamp or other project managment tool.
  • Understand our pricing methods and principles.
  • Be able to analyse the financial health of his projects.
  • Organize and conduct meetings.
  • Speak and write at a C1 level in English.
  • Last but not least, be energetic with sense of humour, think on his feet, be flexible, able to self-reflect, and of course be himself.

You should...

  • Have at least two years of experience with managing production teams on digital projects.
  • Have verifiable results of past experience with teams (plan vs. reality)
  • Have 5 references to your projects with contacts of people you have worked with.

What do your possible future team members say about the PM role?

He solves things immediately. When a problem occurs, he finds the meaningful solution. The communication with client is essential. It starts with crystal clear brief and ends with the ability to support and sell our solution.

Marcel Papp, UX Designer

He's a people person and knows what, where, when and who is doing what in the team. He's able to reassure the client, able to manage the project, praises and sympathise with the production team. An interpreter's skills come also handy, when the translation from client's jibberish is needed.

Tomáš Klíma, Senior Graphic Designer

He has some technological background, he's communicative, understanding and doesn't panic. He's not resending the client's comments immediately to the whole team, but thinks about it first and than finds the right person to deal with it.

Tomáš Vítek, PHP Developer

He's thorough and avoids problems by telling the client “no” if needed. He can energize the team to go the same direction and can negotiate the postponement of a deadline.

Čeněk Kovář, Web Developer

How does SYMBIO changed our PM Hana, who's preparing for another challenging project - the motherhood?

I am now able to adapt faster to any changes (and the biggest one is just a step ahead of me). That something can't be done is not a frequent sentence to hear in SYMBIO :)
