Accessibility Statement
SYMBIO Digital, s.r.o. is committed to making this website accessible, in accordance with national legislation transposing Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act). This accessibility statement applies to symbio.agency.
1. Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA and EN 301 549 v3.2.1. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
2. Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
2.1. Disproportionate burden — legacy 2023 case studies. Selected case studies under /work/<slug> render vendored React subtrees originally authored in 2023 (referenced as src/vendor/case-studies-2023/). These subtrees have not been audited to WCAG 2.2 AA and may exhibit issues including: missing alt text on decorative imagery, insufficient colour contrast on overlay text, focus-not-obscured (2.4.11) violations under the sticky navigation, and Czech-language content embedded in an English-default document. We claim disproportionate burden under Article 14 of EAA for re-authoring these case studies; new case studies authored after 2026-05-22 (e.g. /work/united-founders) use the modern accessible composition primitives.
2.2. Mixed-language editorial content. Career detail pages under /careers/<slug> and a subset of /work/<slug> case studies contain editorial copy in Czech (project narratives, testimonials) within the otherwise English <html lang="en"> document. We are evaluating per-element lang attributes on a follow-up pass.
3. Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 26 May 2026.
The statement was prepared by self-assessment carried out by SYMBIO Digital, s.r.o. The assessment combined automated checks (axe-core via Playwright across the full route tree, Storybook a11y addon across the design-system component library) with manual review of keyboard navigation, focus management, and screen-reader announcement on the binding sample of routes (home, work index, three case studies, careers index, one career detail, contact).
This statement was last reviewed on 26 May 2026.
4. Feedback and contact information
If you encounter accessibility barriers on this website, or want to provide feedback on how we can improve, please contact us via the form at symbio.agency/contact. We aim to respond within 10 business days.
5. Enforcement procedure
If after contacting us you are not satisfied with our response, or with how we have addressed an accessibility barrier, you can escalate to the responsible national enforcement body. In the Czech Republic this is the Digitální a informační agentura (DIA) dia.gov.cz. For users in other EU Member States, please refer to the accessibility-enforcement authority designated under your national transposition of the European Accessibility Act.
6. Technical specifications
Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- HTML5

- CSS
- JavaScript (progressive enhancement; core content + navigation work without JS)
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
